The American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo is offering five four-year undergraduate degree programs:
Because all AUB Mediterraneo programs are cohort-based, we admit students only once a year, in the fall term.
Who can apply?
Students who have completed one of these programs:
- High school
- IGCSE (O Levels)
- IB Certificate or any other school leaving certificate
- Lebanese Baccalaureate
- French Baccalaureate

- High school transcript for grades 10 and 11 or their equivalent
-
Official form for Applicant Secondary School Record
- An entrance exam, which can be any one of the exams listed below: *
-
Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
The SAT can be taken several times. Students can take advantage of “superscoring" (i.e., taking the highest score for each section (Math or Evidence-Based Reading and Writing). -
American College Testing (ACT)
The ACT can be taken several times. Students can benefit from “superscoring" (i.e., taking the highest score for each section (English, Reading, Mathematics, or Science). -
International AS-level exam
3 AS levels: Mathematics (Math or Math - Further) and 2 non-language subjects. -
Cypriot Lyceum B Class standardized exam
2 subjects, one in Math (Basic or Advanced) and 1 non-language subject.
Regular Admission
Regular admission is competitive and is based equally on high school (Grades 10 & 11) transcripts (50%) and entrance exam scores (50%).
There are no specific cut-off scores/grades. The higher the student's scores/grades, the better the chances of being admitted.
When evaluating high school transcripts, we compare students to the class average and to the average of other applicants from the same school. Grade 12 records do not affect the admission decision (since students usually apply at the beginning of grade 12).
Early Admission
Students who are accepted for early admission (non-binding) automatically receive an
Early Admission Merit Scholarship.
Applications for early admission that don't meet the following early admission criteria will automatically be considered based on the regular admission criteria.
Early Admission Criteria:
- Submit the undergraduate first-year application by the early admission deadline.
- Be ranked in the top 25 percent of your class in Grades 10 and 11.
- Achieve the minimum score in the
required entrance exam which can be any of the exams listed in the table below. *
Table1: Entrance exam minimum scores
* Important Notes on the entrance exam types:
- Only one exam type is considered. If students submit scores from multiple exam types, we will consider the exam type that maximizes the student's chance for admission.
- The AS-Level or Cypriot Lyceum B Class standardized exam results for the required subjects are to be provided before the admission application deadline to complete your application. For the SAT/ACT results, refer to the deadline section below under “Latest SAT/ACT session considered."
- Students who plan to apply for fall 2025 (or later) admission are encouraged to plan and take the SAT exam.
Admissions Conditions
Once accepted, please note that admission is conditional on the following. Students may not register until they have
successfully:
- Met the English language requirement.
- Completed Grade 12.
- Received the certificate or diploma showing that they have successfully completed a secondary program (high school, baccalaureate, etc.).
Students who are admitted will be required to present evidence that they have met the above conditions, usually no later than 1 month prior to the start of the term.
